Inauguration of Huawei Technologies Innovation Center Panama

This center focuses on developing innovative solutions, open, flexible and secure platforms to drive digital business transformation.

Huawei Technologies Panama, officially inaugurated its Innovation Center, with the objective of developing ICT skills and knowledge in different profiles such as Huawei partners, university students, teachers and professionals nationwide, while promoting the exchange of ideas with different sectors of the country.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by His Excellency Jose Alejandro Rojas Pardini, Minister Counselor for Private Investment Facilitation, Mr. Wei Qiang, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Panama, Mr. Luis Oliva, General Administrator of the National Authority for Government Innovation of Panama, among other guests including Huawei partners. 

This center focuses on developing innovative solutions, open, flexible and secure platforms to drive digital business transformation. During the first phase, more than US$1 million was invested, which involves construction, equipment and training for the first year. Huawei focuses on facilitating a digital transformation ecosystem to implement joint innovations and expand the ecosystem in terms of industrial and commercial partnerships, development platforms and open source communities. 

In the next five years, Huawei will continue to provide training to its partners, and boost cooperation with universities through the ICT Academy, where it expects to train more than five thousand professionals. The Huawei Innovation Center is a window available for the cultivation of talent in new technologies to boost the digital economy in Panama.
